Angus Smith

ANGUS SMITH

I’m a final year Civil Engineering university student and having placed 14th at the 2017 World Champs in Rotterdam, I will be targeting British/National Championship events in 2018 as well as the European Sprint Triathlon Champs in Glasgow in August. I will also be continuing my road racing and hope to move up to a 2nd category rider if I can fit enough races in!


Emily Patch

I’m a second year Chemistry university student and in 2017 I achieved 29th at the World Standard Distance Triathlon Champs. In 2018 I have set my sights on British/National Championship events as well as the European Sprint Triathlon Champs in Glasgow in August. I will also be competing in swimming races such as the National open water Masters championships.


Nathan Veal

I am a 21 year old triathlete from York In 2018 I will be focusing on several Duathlons in the early part of the season where I hope to retain my national age-group title. I will then be targeting a mix of standard and middle distance races for the remainder of the season. I am also aiming for at least one podium at a Castle Series race.


Paul Double

In 2018 I will again be racing in Italy (and around Europe) with Zappi Racing Team U23 development squad. With my gained experience and having adapted to the high level of racing I hope to better my results from last year in UCI and Italian National races. I had a very positive end to 2017 and now know I have the ability to get the results I need to launch me to the next level.


Seb Gary

2017 was a season riddled with injury meaning I’m beginning 2018 more determined than ever. I now train at the University of Nottingham which is proving to be a very good environment. This year I hope to place highly in national running events and focus on the Castle Triathlon Series in order to further my development towards competitive international elite triathlon racing.


Sam Mileham

I’m a triathlete currently living in Perth, Australia. I will be splitting my time between here and London to better my training and improve my chances of achieving the goals I have set myself. 2017 was my most successful to date becoming the European U20 Triathlon Champion. In 2018 I aim to start racing at an elite level internationally, targeting OTU and Asian Cups around Australia and South Asia.


Sam Hart

I am a 17-year-old triathlete and for the 2018 season I will be a second year Junior competing in the British Elite Junior series. I aim to qualify for the European Junior championships as well as compete at European Junior Cup competitions. Domestically, the British championships will be my main goal. Away from triathlon I will compete on the track and hope to improve my best times and be competitive at national level.


Connie Hudson

Following a successful season as a Junior rider I will now progress into the Under 23 Women’s category for 2018. My aim is to race abroad for the majority of the year ahead to gain some much needed experience racing in the larger pelotons. I have been training in Girona, Spain over the winter months to achieve a good level of early race fitness. I will be targeting some Spanish races with a Girona based team, Els Angels.


Ollie Hucks

I am in my first year at the University of Nottingham. After coming out of a somewhat compromised year of training in 2017 due to A levels, I began putting in the hard yards well in advance of 2018. I have now settled in to university life and the training is consistent and the signs are good ahead of the 2018 season. I hope to get a few top 10s in National B road races, PB at all distances in time trials and get some solid results in local criterium races.


James Hodgson

I am a triathlete studying for a PhD in air quality at the Birmingham University. After placing 4th at the 2017 European Championships and a disappointing 13th at the World Championships due to injury I am looking forward to racing in 2018 back at full fitness. Hopefully I can continue my winning steaks in local races and again challenge for podiums on the international stage at Glasgow and the Gold Coast.


James Teagle

I currently race in the Elite Super Series, Continental Cup and World Cup. My 2017 highlights included winning the U23 European Elite Mixed Relay championships, medalling at the British Elite championships and representing GB at the European Senior Elite Championships. In 2018 I aim to build on successful world cup racing and finish in the top 5 at a World Cup race. I also aim to medal individually at the Elite U23 at European and World Championships.


Luke Campbell

I'm a student at Cirencester College, Gloucester and I am studying Sport and Exercise science. At the end of 2015 I decided to quit football and focus on Triathlon for the 2016 season. Since then I've qualified for the European sprint championships and completed three Half Ironman competitions. I'm looking for some podium finishes at local races in 2017 and I am also aiming to complete some Olympic distance races.


Benjamin Sommerville

After significant injury setbacks, I am more motivated than ever to make the most of the world class training at Loughborough to achieve my goals. I am pursuing national age group championship medals as well as European championship qualification. Having raced Sprint distance exclusively for the past 4 years, for 2018 I am beginning the foundations of Olympic distance training base with the long-term goal of senior elite competition in 2019 onward.

I am a 20 year-old triathlete based in Eastbourne. I have represented Great Britain in Junior European Cups. For the up and coming 2018 season my main race will be the British Elite Championships, which, with a good performance, would lead to race starts in Senior European Cups. The ultimate goal for the season would be to qualify for the Elite Under 23 European and World Championships. I am looking forward to the challenge.

George Clark

For 2018 I will be racing for Goma Dakwerken in Belgium. I will be training and racing full time until the end of the season, it’s a great opportunity for me to focus as a rider and carry on learning in the sport. My aims are to be competitive for top 10 and podium placings in key races that I will target. I will use what I have learnt over the past few seasons to get some top results. Races will include some early season classics, pro kermesses and stage racing.


Marcus Dey

I am a 16yr old, first year Junior triathlete based in Rochdale. I have been part of the England Talent triathlon squad for two years. I am looking forward to moving up to Junior age group and racing at Sprint distance triathlon. My main aim is to work towards selection for the Youth Olympic Games, the European Youth Championships and European Cup races, as well as racing in some of the Junior Super series races around the UK.


Oscar Mingay

Last year my goal was on the National Junior Series, my main aim for this year is to win a couple of international UCI races in Europe. I am also targeting selection for the GB road World Championship team in Innsbruck and to hopefully podium because it’s a hilly course that plays to my strengths. All of 2018 will be building towards selection for a good U23 development squad for 2019 and, of course, to continue to enjoy being on the bike.


Ollie Jones

I am a 2nd year U23 cyclist racing for Culture Velo in the south of France and Cycle Team OnForm in the UK. My race calendar for 2018 will focus mainly around French National races, stage races and National Calendar races in the UK, including the U23 National TT titles. After pre-season training in Calpe and Girona, I will be living in Limoux just east of Toulouse.

I am a 15-year-old triathlete from Kent, I am currently in my second season of being part the South East Triathlon Academy. For the 2018 season, I aim to achieve multiple podiums in the British Youth Super Series and be selected to race in the European Cup as part of the qualifier for the Youth Olympics. I also hope to have a strong cross-country season, and to continue improving my swimming times.

I am a first-year junior cyclist based in Leeds riding for Giant Halifax race team on the road and track. In 2018 I will be racing in Britain as well in Belgium and France hopefully for the first time as well as returning to the hilly races in Spain where I got some good results last year as an under 16. I am excited for what this season will bring with the longer races and with the step up from youth racing and hopefully will get some good results along the way.


Harrison-Wood

In 2018 I will be a 2nd year junior cyclist representing Mid Devon Cycling Club in the UK and riding for Soenens Booom all over Europe. My plans are to build and improve on my 2017 experiences and results. I want to achieve some top 10's in foreign UCI races and other foreign events such as the Tour of Basque country. Within the UK I want to gain a top 5 in a National Series event and achieve my 1st category licence over the season.

I am currently a 16-year-old cyclist riding for VC Londres. In 2018 I will be a 1st year Junior looking to gain as much experience as possible both abroad and in the UK with the National Junior Road series. My aims are to get some results sticking with the front groups and some top 10s, but also hopefully winning some more local races. I look forward to this giving me the base for a great second year also.

George Blazley

I recently completed my first Cyclo-Cross season where I gained some experience on the continent against top level opposition. My 2018 ambitions are to do well in the National Junior series with some good results in the top ten and to feature in races abroad in Belgium. With the experiences gained over the season I hope to be in a good position to move forward into U23 ranks with steady and consistent progression.


Vicky Price

VICKY PRICE

I am a Junior Elite and GB Age Group Triathlete. In 2018 I will be racing as a 2nd Year Junior Elite Triathlete in the British Triathlon Junior Super Series. I hope to race all over the country and gain some top 20 finishes. I am also aiming to qualify to represent the GB Age Group team at this year’s ETU European Triathlon Championships in Glasgow and the 2018 ITU World Triathlon Championships.
